Every call answered, by a receptionist that knows your systems.
An AI voice receptionist for your business line. It answers every call in a natural voice, takes clear requests, books appointments, and looks up orders, tickets and appointments in the software you already run.
That's our own line. The receptionist that answers is this product.
What happens on a call
It runs on OpenAI's GPT-Live voice model, hosted on Microsoft Azure, and it answers our own business line every day.
-
01
It answers, and says it is an AI assistant.
Every call, or only the calls you miss: your choice. It tells the caller it is an AI assistant and that the call is recorded and transcribed, then talks naturally, coping with interruptions, pauses and people changing their mind.
-
02
It answers the caller's questions from your approved profile.
Your services, what you do not do, hours, area served, the questions every caller asks, and how you handle prices. Returning callers are recognized from your CRM by their phone number. Anything that is not in the profile is taken down as a question for you, never made up.
-
03
It takes the request and confirms the email letter by letter.
Name, company, what they need, and an email address that it reads back letter by letter until the caller confirms it. On the Book plan it can also book the appointment into your Microsoft 365 calendar.
-
04
The caller gets a confirmation email.
Sent from your own mailbox, restating what they asked for, so they know they were heard.
-
05
You get a note, and follow up with one Reply.
Who called, what they need and the full transcript, with the caller's email as the reply address. Urgent calls (a complaint, an existing job or invoice, an urgent problem) reach you by email straight away, during the call.
It works with your systems, not just your phone
Most AI receptionists take a message, or connect to a short list of popular apps. Ours can be connected to the system your business actually runs on, so a caller gets an answer on the call instead of a callback.
We build a connector for your system
Written for that system in C# and .NET, and hosted on Azure. A lookup connector reads from it: order, appointment, ticket or account status. An action connector writes to it: creates a ticket, books into your own scheduling software, updates a record.
Secured with Azure, not in the code
Each connector signs in with Azure managed identity or with a key kept in Azure Key Vault. No credentials are ever written into the code.
It checks who is calling first
Before it shares anything, it checks the caller's identity against your records. For example, it only gives order details to the phone number on the order.
Built by an architect with 35 years of software engineering who builds integrations for a living. The same work on larger systems is our AI implementation practice.
For larger organizations, the receptionist and its connectors can run entirely in your own Azure subscription, so call data never leaves your tenant.
Built for your business, not scraped from your website
It starts with a half-hour interview: your services, what you do not do, your hours and area, the questions every caller asks, and how you want prices handled. We write that up as your profile and you approve it line by line. Nothing is scraped from your website.
It does not make things up. If a caller asks something the profile does not cover, it takes it down as a question for you. Before go-live you get test calls with full transcripts to review.
We are based in McLean, and the person you talk to is the person who fixes it. If it says something wrong, you tell me and it is fixed that day.

A 15-minute call

Half an hour on your services, hours, area, prices and the questions callers ask. You approve the written profile line by line.
Your number and test calls

Questions people ask
How much does an AI receptionist cost?
The Imhauser Technologies AI Voice Receptionist is $199 a month for the Answer plan (500 minutes), $349 a month for Book (1,200 minutes) or $699 a month for Connected (3,000 minutes), plus a one-time $499 setup. Extra minutes are $0.25 a minute on every plan, and every plan is month to month.
Can an AI receptionist connect to my own software?
Yes. Imhauser Technologies builds custom connectors so the receptionist can look up an order, an appointment, a ticket or a job in the system you already run, or create a ticket or update a record there. A lookup connector is $1,500 and an action connector $3,000, one time each; systems without a usable API are quoted after a short call.
Can I keep my business phone number?
Yes. Forward your existing number to the receptionist, for every call or only the calls you miss, or use a new number.
Does it tell callers it is an AI?
Yes. At the start of every call it says it is an AI assistant and that the call is recorded and transcribed.
Can it transfer calls to me?
Not today. Urgent calls, such as a complaint or a problem with an existing job or invoice, reach you by email immediately, during the call. Transfer to a person can be discussed for a custom setup.
Does it book appointments?
Yes, into a Microsoft 365 (Outlook) calendar. It checks your real availability, checks again before it confirms, and adds a Teams link for video calls. Google Calendar is not available yet.
What happens if it gets something wrong?
It only answers from the profile you approved, and anything else is taken down as a question for you. If it says something wrong, tell us and it is fixed the same day.
Where does my callers' data go?
Transcripts go to your email and your CRM. The providers that process calls are listed on the Imhauser Technologies privacy page. If call data has to stay in your tenant, the receptionist can run entirely in your own Azure subscription.
Is there a contract?
No. Every plan is month to month.
